Japanese American Welfare Society (1946 – 1952)

After World War II, Licensed Agencies for Relief in Asia (LARA), a private American organization, provided relief supplies to the war-ravaged nation of Japan from November 1946 to June 1952. The Japanese American Welfare Association was established to assist in this effort.
