Japan Airlines Inaugural Tokyo-New York Flight

Japan Airlines (JAL) launched the first commercial flight route between Tokyo and New York (Tokyo-Honolulu-San Francisco-New York) on November 12 1966. The first flight, with 118 guests and 11 crew members on board, was on the DC-8 “Seto.”
